MISSION
Serving those who have served our country.
We believe we can make a difference to the men and women who are America's veterans and give them the respect and honor they deserve.

OUR STORY
Perry "Pete" Thomas Demming
Pete was born August 2, 1934 in Akron and lived there his entire life until 1994 when he and his family moved to Wadsworth.

Pete attended Buchtel High School and graduated from The University of Akron in 1956. In college, Pete was a proud member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was the University's first ever mascot, Zippy.

He spent most of his professional life as an industrial roofing salesman and consultant at the Garland Company in Cleveland, OH. He was one of its founders. He loved his profession, the people he worked with, and the friendships he made over forty years in the business.

Pete accomplished many of his life's goals. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Captain. Pete had many great stories from his Air Force service and was a very patriotic American. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing with many trophies to show for it. His wife, Betty, supported him in all his business and outdoor ventures for forty-six years.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and had love and pride for his great country. If you knew him, you would hear him speak of it in nearly every conversation. Pete always loved the veterans and contributed frequently to the many different organizations supporting U.S. veterans.

Pete believed Americans should do more to demonstrate gratitude to our nation's veterans.
And by establishing the Perry Thomas Demming Foundation, Pete's sons plan to manifest his dream of giving veterans the respect and care they deserve.
